After a tough loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the LA Clippers can take a deep breath now. A rough stretch of the season is coming to a close, and things get easier for a while now, both in terms of opponents and scheduling.

The fact that the LA Clippers had to play a Finals team like the Bucks at the end of a 3 games in 4 nights stretch is miserable; it’s no wonder we started to see signs of the gas tank being empty. Now the Clips get some help getting their feet back under them.

Going into the All-Star Break, the LA Clippers will play the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards on the 2nd and 4th of March, respectively. Having some rest days amongst these games against a couple teams that are at or below 0.500 will help to keep momentum going into the Break.

Then, of course, the Break itself will be very beneficial to the tired LA Clippers. Kawhi and PG will be playing in the All-Star Game, of course, but that’s unlikely to have anywhere near the intensity of a real game. Not counting that, the next game is on the 11th of March when they play the Golden State Warriors.

After the Warriors game, the scheduling gets a little less friendly, but the matchups are nice. In the next 7 games, they’ll have two stretches of 3 games in 4 days, which is hard to avoid given the condensed schedule. But look at this stretch of games:

Pelicans, Mavericks, Mavericks, Hornets, Hawks, Spurs, Spurs.

Summing it all up, the next 10 games for the LA Clippers are against teams who currently have a combined record of 124-133. A very friendly stretch for the Clips, whose strength of schedule so far is tied for 7th hardest in the league.

While things would have been even happier had the LA Clippers pulled off the win against Milwaukee, the road gets a bit easier for a little while, and the Clips and Clipper Nation will have a chance to recalibrate and get back on the right track.
