The LA Clippers may be getting a new court design.

The LA Clippers may have to talk to second-year player Terance Mann after the young guard posted a picture on his Instagram today.

No, it’s nothing serious. It just looks like the team may be getting a new court design. You can see the picture screenshotted by a Twitter user below.

If you remember, last season the practice facility sported red paint inside of the key with a black baseline. Their actual home court was all black with the only color coming from lines on the court. Fans weren’t too impressed with the design, noting how the lack of color was reminiscent of the Brooklyn Nets and just wasn’t that exciting.

It’s worth noting that this picture from Mann is just of the team’s training facility so there is no guarantee that this means the team will be playing on a whole new court this upcoming season. If they do take the design and make it their new home court though, fans should be happy.

The team can keep the black-themed court on nights that they wear their City Jerseys, which supposedly will be black variants of last year’s Mister Cartoon’s Los Angeles themed jerseys. There’s nothing wrong with having the black court on those nights but the color is a lot more interesting.

Most of the league has been trending to getting more unique courts with teams like the Charlotte Hornets sporting honeycombs on their court and the Miami Heat fully embracing their Vice City theme resulting in teal and pink alternate courts.

Clippers’ fans won’t have to wait long to see the reveal of this court (if there is one). The league recently approved a December 22 start date for the 2020-21 season meaning training camp will start in just a few weeks.
