8) Portland Trail Blazers – 77.0 average rating

The Portland Trail Blazers come in at number eight. Their average rating of 77.0 makes them (conveniently) the eighth-best team according to average rating.

Obviously the big draw here is having Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. 2K is usually dominated by wing players, so having those two as primary scoring options make the team very viable. You also have Carmelo Anthony as the starting power forward and while he has dropped down to just a 77 overall, he still can get buckets if you can time his release right.

Defensively, Hassan Whiteside protects the paint. Whiteside boasts a 96 block and a 98 defensive rebound. Even if he’s not being controlled by the player, he will secure a ton of rebounds for the team. He’s actually currently rated higher overall then McCollum which jumped out at me.

If injuries are turned off, the team also has another great center in Jusuf Nurkic available. The paint will be a tough area to navigate.

The team also has Trevor Ariza in the starting lineup who can space the floor.

The Blazers are the perfect selection if someone wants to get a lot of three-pointers up. Their small guards might be a little weak on defense but a solid 2K player should be able to cover up any of their deficiencies.
