The LA Clippers officially announced their classic jerseys on Friday. The classic uniform hark back to the team’s days as the Buffalo Braves.
About three months ago, we published jersey idea’s for the LA Clippers in the 2019-20 season. One of those was to bring back the classic Buffalo Braves uniforms that they once wore back then. I guess the team listened.
Early Friday morning, the LA Clippers announced that they would be bringing back their white based classic uniform that honored the Buffalo Braves.

The Clippers will be one of several teams that will wear the Classic Edition uniforms along with the Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies and others.
As the team enter’s it’s 50th season as a franchise in the NBA, it comes as no surprise that they decided to bring these back.
There has been no announcement as of yet whether the team decides to have a matching court to go along with these jerseys.
On the clippersstore.com website, the Classic Edition set has been released for pre-order which includes jerseys, shirts and hoodies.
The initial reaction of fans across Twitter has them liking the jerseys but also wanting the classic Blue and Red jerseys that the team wore in the 90’s.
These jerseys will be very interesting to see on the court, but knowing the players on the team having swag, they’ll make them stand out with their shoe game to match.
The Clippers will not only be announcing a new Classic Edition uniform, but we are still awaiting the release of the Earned Edition uniforms (given to teams that make the Playoffs the previous season) and the new City Edition uniforms (honoring the city of Los Angeles).
Of course, there has been recent photos that have surfaced online showing a possible court concept for the Clippers City Edition uniform that resembles a font of the video game, Grand Theft Auto.
This will be the first time in the Nike series that the Clippers will receive a Classic Edition jersey.
The last couple of seasons the team has only had the City Edition uniforms as there special alternates.
It would have been nice to see the team bring back the baby blue San Diego Clippers uni’s from 2017 and also bringing back the Olympic-style LA jerseys from this past season.
With the release of their latest jerseys for this season, we would like to hear your thoughts on the all new Classic Edition jerseys through Twitter!
