Number Two

LeBron James and Anthony Davis – Los Angeles Lakers

This will likely irk some people, but remember that you are on a LA Clippers’ site. Also remember that LeBron is entering year seventeen and is coming off the first real injury he’s had. While I would never bet against The King coming back and demolishing the league, it’s hard to not remember that Father Time is undefeated.

LeBron is, depending on who you ask, possibly the greatest player of all-time. He can take over a game on either end of the court and has already proven himself capable of sharing the spotlight with his time in both Cleveland and Miami.

Anthony Davis, much like LeBron, effects the game on both ends. He can score from anywhere on the court and scares everyone on defense. He’s quick and long enough to switch out onto guards and uses that length to protect the rim. In fact, he has averaged nearly 2.5 blocks per game for his career. Couple that with the 1.4 steals per game and it’s easy to see how much AD impacts the game.

AD is arguably the best player LeBron has ever played with. Dwyane Wade was a great scorer, but started to decline as the years went by in Miami. Kyrie could also score and was capable of taking over on offense, but his lack of size has always made him a poor defender.

It’s a scary thought to imagine LeBron and Davis on the court together and it will likely take another top-tier pairing to take them down. This brings us to our number one duo…
