With 2018 almost over and New Year’s upon us, here are three resolutions the LA Clippers should make as they head into 2019.

2018 was quite a year for the LA Clippers and their fans.

The year started with a fight in the team’s locker room. However, that ended up not even being the most surprising thing to happen in the year. Soon after, fans saw the departure of franchise pillar Blake Griffin who was traded to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for a draft pick, Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley and Boban Marjanovic.

His departure was later followed by DeAndre Jordan in the summer after the longest tenured player in Clippers’ history decided to head down to Dallas, this time for certain.

Despite these odd events, the year ended up pretty alright for Clipper Nation. No, we didn’t make the playoffs, but Doc Rivers proved himself as a coach by bringing a scrappy team nearly into the post season. The Clippers quickly went from being the often hated Lob City group to one of the more beloved franchises. (To be fair, having Boban on your team never hurts your likability.)

Fans were treated to a summer of Bobi and Tobi, including a series of videos documenting the two’s adventures together.

We also saw the start of Jerry West‘s plan with the drafting of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jerome Robinson. While we haven’t seen a lot of Robinson yet, Gilgeous-Alexander has already earned the starting job and impresses not only us fans, but many around the league.

So far, he is putting up 10.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists. While these numbers aren’t eye popping, Shai has an absolutely amazing ceiling.

Yes, it was quite an eventful year for us all. Now, with 2019 right around the corner, we can start to imagine what the next year will give the LA Clippers.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at three things the Clippers can resolve to do in 2019 to get themselves an NBA Championship (Which, let’s be honest, probably won’t come until 2020).
