The Good

Thank God for Tobias Harris. After a poor shooting performance against Miami, the reigning Western Conference Player of the Month came out aggressive. He scored 33 points, just one short of tying his career-high, to the tune of 57.9% shooting from the floor.

He also grabbed eight rebounds and handed out three assists, but his biggest contribution may have come from the free throw line where he was a perfect nine of nine. Tobias is the Clippers best player and if he is attacking and getting to the line, it frees up everyone else on the offense.

Speaking of the free throw line, Danilo Gallinari was 11 of 12 from the charity stripe. Gallo has been a consistent piece for LA so far this season and may be getting slightly overlooked. The forward dropped 25 points on 50% shooting while having a team-high in assists.

The forward tandem has been something to reckon with as both are extremely capable scorers. Their combined scoring efforts have been making up for the lack of a superstar and there is no sign of them slowing down.

The other player who had a huge impact? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The rookie scored 16 points and looked like a veteran towards the end of the game where he scored a team-high eight points in the fourth quarter. While he may not even be in the Rookie of the Year conversation, Shai has impressed everyone and shows us every night that he will be the team’s point guard of the future.
