The LA Clippers’ Tobias Harris has been named the Western Conference Player of the Month for his performance in November.

Tobias Harris of the LA Clippers has been named the Western Conference Player of the Month for his play in November. He joins Giannis Antetokounmpo who won the award for the Eastern Conference.

Harris was the key factor in the Clippers ending November with the best record in the Western Conference at 15-6, which surprised many around the league.

For the month of November, Harris averaged 22.1 points per game on 54.4% shooting (47.8% from deep), 8.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

This is the first time the 26-year-old has won a Player of the Month Award, but he was just named Western Conference Player of the week.

While many deem the Clippers to lack a superstar, this idea certainly helps cement the idea that Harris is the team’s star player. Although a veteran of 7 years, Harris could very easily have his best ball in front of him.

LA will have to make a decision on what to do with Harris this offseason, as he will enter unrestricted free agency. The Clippers have the cap space and Harris’ bird rights so re-signing him won’t be an issue if he wants it, but the team may look to bring in two max contract level players instead.

Regardless of what happens in the future, Harris is a Clipper now and (although the league is just realizing it) a star.

It may be a little early to start campaigning, but if Harris keeps this level of play up, he may also be in route to his first All-Star appearance. While ballots won’t be out for a while, fans need to keep him mind once they do open so we can have him represent Clipper Nation this season.

Harris and the Clippers play their second night of a back-to-back tonight in New Orleans as they try to take down Anthony Davis and the Pelicans.
