With a rumor circulating that aBradley Beal wants out of D.C., we take a look at a possible trade package the LA Clippers could put together.

Last night, Chris Sheridan posted that Bradley Beal wanted out of D.C.. Although Bradley Beal quickly dismissed the rumor after the Wizards win over the Rockets, the NBA world is still mumbling about possible trade packages for the young All-Star. Should the LA Clippers get involved?

The short answer: They should try.

Prior to the Clippers loss to the Wizards last week, we toyed with the idea of LA working with Washington. The team had made it known that they are open to trading any player on their roster.

Beal is by far the Wizards most valuable asset the team has, so getting him would be no easy feat. The Clippers could offer up Tobias Harris, but given his play this season and how fond the front office is of him, that seems extremely unlikely.

The next best trade package the Clippers could offer would be something along these lines:

LAC receives: Bradley Beal, Jason Smith

WAS receives: Danilo Gallinari, Avery Bradley, Jerome Robinson, first round pick

The Clippers cannot move either of their next two first rounders, so the earliest they could convey one would be 2021. The other caveat here would be that the teams would have to wait until January, since Avery Bradley cannot be moved until the 15th.

What this trade does is gives Washington an expiring starting caliber guard in Bradley, a veteran in Gallo who can come in and help them win and a young prospect in Jerome Robinson.

The Clippers get an All-Star who is already under contract and still have cap room to sign another big name player in the summer. Beal can be a perfect second star on a championship contender and if that is the team’s final plan, it would be great to already set everything in motion.

All this being said, it’s hard to see the Clips disrupting the good thing they have going. The team currently sits at the top of the Western Conference and already has a budding star in Tobias Harris who will be looking to get paid in the summer.

Beal may be worth it if the team can buy low, but ultimately he may not even move. The Clippers should do their due diligence as every team should, but don’t expect anything to come of this.
