The Big Combo

This may be one of the games where the Clippers big men do most of the damage. Marcin Gortat is coming off his best game as a Clipper. Montrezl Harrell is in the midst of his best season in the NBA and shows no signs of slowing down after posting 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, one steal and an assist against the Warriors.

Since Gortat may not be someone we can count on (at least not at this point), expect a good dosage of Harrell and Boban Marjanovic tonight.

Boban did not play against Golden State and only was in long enough to disrupt Milwaukee’s final play of the game on Saturday. Tonight, however, is a match-up that works in his favor.

Pau Gasol was listed day-to-day before being ruled out last night versus the Suns. As of now, there is no word whether or not he will play tonight. If he does, Boban can use his size against Gasol while likely not being exposed too badly on the defensive end. If Gasol doesn’t play, the same should still ring true against Jakob Poeltl.

LaMarcus Aldridge may get some run at center and while Boban’s length may bother him, Trezz is the ideal match-up. Aldridge isn’t known for having a high motor, so Trezz could wear him down very quickly.
