Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams led the way off the bench as the LA Clippers defeated the Golden State Warriors Monday. Here are a few quick takeaways from the win.

The LA Clippers, coming off an impressive overtime victory against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, yet again had to play extra minutes to earn another dub. They defeated the Golden State Warriors 121-116 behind monster performances from Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams.

Williams led the Clippers in scoring, dropping 25 off the bench. Harrell stuffed the stat sheet with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks and a steal and assist. LA’s starting unit offered a balanced scoring attack with Danilo Gallinari dropping 14, Tobias Harris with 17, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 18 and Marcin Gortat putting up a season-high 12.

The Warriors were without All-Star guard and MVP Stephen Curry, but still trotted out three All-Stars in Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Durant lead the way for the Warriors posting a triple-double of 33 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Thompson chipped in 31 points, although he shot poorly hitting only 41.9% of his shots from the field (5 of16 from three).

The Clippers came out swinging and although they couldn’t pull away in the first half, were able to extend the lead to 14 in the fourth. However, the Warriors stormed back behind Thompson to tie the game and force overtime.

The Warriors gained their first lead in the OT period. However, Williams (who had shot poorly up to this point) rattled off the next 10 points for the Clippers in route to their victory.

There is a lot to unpackage from this victory, so let’s get started.
