Last season: Clippers won series 3-1

The King is in LA now, just on the wrong team.

LeBron James’ move to the Lakers is something for Clippers’ fans to be worried about. Our recent dominance of other LA team could be in jeopardy. However, don’t be afraid, because our Lou Williams has confidence in our team. As our Clipperholics own Ryan Snellings stated, “Until a game is played this season, the Clippers are the reigning best team in Los Angeles.”

It’ll be fun to watch Patrick Beverly a.k.a Mr. 94-Feet toy with and possibly even shut down Lonzo Ball again.

Other key additions to the Lakers are Rajon Rondo, Michael Beasley, JaVale McGee, and Lance Stephenson. A bad collection of players to surround LeBron with. The King needs shooters around him, and the three players Magic Johnson & Co. brought in do not fulfill that need.

Never count out LeBron, but don’t expect things to go back to “The Lake Show” levels of the past, right away.

Schedule-wise the Clippers have the advantage with one day of rest. The Lakers must play their LA rivals on the second night of a back-to-back after being on the road against the Sacramento Kings.

Prediction: The Lakers may have the chemistry figured out by this time, or maybe not. Regardless, it is too early at this point in the season to imagine the Lakers toppling their LA rival. The Clippers will pull away with the close win in what will be a very competitive game.
