The 5 Realistic Replacements

1. Don MacLean

MacLean has regularly appeared during Clippers broadcasts whether serving as a guest outside of Star Plaza at Staples Center or during the 3rd Quarter of Clippers telecasts where he would be a special guest to Ralph Lawler.

MacLean holds great knowledge of not only the Clippers but as well as the other 29 franchises in the league. He is constantly training NBA Rookies entering the league and now is his chance to call games alongside Ralph Lawler full time.

2. Corey Maggette

Maggette formerly played for the Clippers from (2000-2008). Once his playing days were over he then joined the Clippers Broadcast Team on Prime Ticket where he served as a Pre-Game Analyst.

However, Maggette got his first crack at being partnered alongside Ralph Lawler during a road game against the Phoenix Suns. Corey did a fabulous job in his first outing.

3. Mike Hill

Clippers Pre-Game Host Mike Hill would fit along great with Ralph Lawler. Before working with Fox Sports, Hill served as an Analyst on ESPN from (2004-2013).

He has been in the television/broadcasting industry for some time now and it would be nice to see the duo of Lawler and Hill calling Clipper Games.

4. Brian Sieman

The current Clippers Play-By-Play announcer on the Radio, Sieman has held this title since the beginning of the 07-08 NBA Season. Sieman has called Clipper games on Prime Ticket before.

Lawler and Sieman would provide great in-depth coverage on Clippers broadcasts as both have been calling games on the radio/television for sometime now.

5. Michael Smith

“Now, now, settle down Mike Smith” – Ralph Lawler. It would be a great reunion for the pair of Lawler and Smith as they both made amazing calls during the Lob City Era, including when Blake Griffin posterized then Knicks Center Timofey Mozgov. Take a Listen:

Many fans were upset when the news broke that Smith wouldn’t be brought back last year but here is an opportunity to bring him back after a 1 year hiatus from the Clippers broadcasting team.
