The Los Angeles Clippers’ Lou Williams won the Sixth Man of the Year award for his 2017-18 performance and his teammates reacted.

The Los Angeles Clippers’ Lou Williams won the NBA’s 2017-18 Sixth Man of the Year during the NBA Awards on Monday night. This was his second time winning the award, with the first coming as a member of the Toronto Raptors during the 2014-15 season.

Williams was the favorite heading into the award show after having a career season with the Clippers. With the departure of both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, Lou was thrust into the role of primary scorer. He did not disappoint.

In 79 games, he averaged a career high 22.6 points per game. He also added 5.3 assists as well as 1.1 steals.

Williams had several notable performances this season, including a 50-point outburst in a win in Golden State and tying the franchises’ steal record. Needless to say, his Clippers teammates were pleased with the award.

Lou seems like the perfect type of teammate to have, so it’s no surprise he got so much support from his guys.

To help you remember all of Lou’s great moments this season, we compiled a list of the top-10 moments from this year.

Lou will likely be back in his bench role next season, but with the number of guards currently on the roster, it seems like no one is safe. Lou did agree to a $7 million per year extension with the team, so his contract could be seen as valuable as part of a trade with a contender.

But let’s not worry about that now. Let’s celebrate our Sixth Man!
