Knox’s fit with the Los Angeles Clippers

So, if he is comparable to Tobias Harris, will he really fit with the Los Angeles Clippers? In today’s NBA, I don’t see why not. Knox and Harris both have the size and strength to play both forward spots, so they could play next to each other. It would be a potent offensive duo who could both drive and spread the floor, but would be somewhat lacking on the defensive end.

There’s also the money aspect. Tobias Harris will be a free agent in 2019. If the Clippers take Knox and see a similar development path for him, moving Harris for another asset makes more financial sense. The team would essentially have the same player, albeit younger and cheaper.

Next: Potential 2nd rounders for the Clippers

It’s hard to argue that an 18 year old with huge potential and the ability to play multiple positions wouldn’t fit on a team. With the Clippers likely drafting for simply best player available, they could do a lot worse than taking Knox at twelve or thirteen.
