With the Western Conference standings being super close, the Los Angeles Clippers moved back into the NBA Playoff picture on Wednesday despite not playing.
Every game counts. This has held true for several teams this year more than ever, including the Los Angeles Clippers. They moved back into 8th place on Wednesday, despite not even taking the court. This move back into the NBA Playoff picture has them currently matched up against the conference leading Houston Rockets.

A loss of 113-108 by the Denver Nuggets to the Cleveland Cavaliers allowed the Clippers to jump them in the Western Conference standings. This marked the second loss in a row for the Nuggets.
On Tuesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Houston Rockets, which kept them tied them in the loss column with the Clippers. Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs have faltered, in part due to injuries.
Meanwhile, the Pelicans continue to win, despite losing Anthony Davis to a sprained ankle on Wednesday night. The big man expects to play, but will be evaluated later today to be certain. Seeing Davis injured is not something to be happy about, but if he does have to miss any time, it could benefit the Clippers.
Currently, Los Angeles sits 3 games back in the loss column of third place in the West. They have 19 remaining games to keep their playoff dreams alive. The Clips will have to focus on what is ahead of them and not pay attention to all the other movement in the standings.
