Why the Clippers should look at Walker
Lonnie Walker has the right tools to fit into the modern NBA. He already possesses a good deep shot, has an athletic body and seems like he could be a decent to positive defender. There are some minor holes in his game, but coming into the NBA at just 19 years old will give him more than enough time to grow. The talent is there and if CBS’ claim about having “the look” holds true, then he could end up being one of the bigger steals of the draft.

Why the Clippers shouldn’t look at Walker
This section is focused more on the Los Angeles Clippers than it is on Walker. Assuming the team re-signs Austin Rivers, they will have 6 guards on the active roster heading into next season, including this year’s rookies, Sindarius Thornwell and Jawun Evans, who have both showed flashes of potential.
The team extended Lou Williams a few weeks back and will have Patrick Beverley returning from injury. Depending on the direction the team decides to go, it just doesn’t make sense to bring in yet another guard to jam up the rotation. Walker could likely end up being better than the rookies the Clippers currently have, but unless they are traded, it’s tough to give up on them this quickly.
