The Los Angeles Clippers announced today that they have partnered with social network Bumble who will be represented on the team’s jersey.

The Los Angeles Clippers revealed via their Twitter today that they have partnered with social network Bumble. Bumble’s logo will be featured on the team’s jerseys for the remainder of the season.

Bumble launched in 2014 originally as a dating app, similar to Tinder. However, there was a “catch”. Bumble is set up to let women make the first move, which made the dating app more inviting. Users still swipe to match, as with other common dating apps, but only females can start the conversation.

Since then, Bumble has grown into more than just a dating app by promoting social circle growth and professional connections while still following their tried and true formula. You can download it today in both the App Store and Google Play for free.

The Clippers partnered with Bumble in order to promote gender equality and will feature the “Empowerment Badge” on all iterations of the team’s jersey. The team will also feature the hashtag #StrongWithHer, which they hope will encourage both diversity and equality.

It will take a few games to get used to the Empowerment Badges on the jerseys, but the simple logo seems to fit well at first glance.

If you haven’t, make sure to check out Bumble and use the hashtag #StrongWithHer on Twitter and Facebook.
