Overall: C
Overall Dekker has regressed just a tad bit, however he still has plenty of potential. This young forward easily has the skills and athleticism to hang around.
Sure, he has had a challenge adjusting to NBA talent defense wise. He has been pretty consistent shooting, until we start to look into beyond the arc shots. His shooting percentage remains really low compared to his season with the Rockets. However, on the plus side he is shooting more free throws and shooting them efficiently.
This could be as a result of more usage with this team around, even though he is playing less minutes. Face it the Clippers have been injured all year, and they depend on everyone to step up. Including Dekker, with his usage and steals keep up, as well as his defensive boards. He has stayed in the same tier, but again he is young and has plenty of time.
His hustle and effort have been huge for the team and although he isn’t shooting well, he has adjusted his game to make up for this shortcoming.

Throughout the rest of this season and going into the off-season, Sam will indeed work on his 3 point game. Shooting better threes will keep Sam progressing and achieving a bigger role in the future.
