DeAndre Jordan of the LA Clippers spoke to us on tying the franchise record for most game’s played.

Last night DeAndre Jordan set a milestone for the LA Clippers. DeAndre tied Randy Smith’s record for the most franchise games at 715 games. Lost in all the DeAndre trade talk is the fact that he’s literally been the most loyal Clipper ever. That fact is something that cannot be overlooked, especially with this franchise. It doesn’t matter what people think about his game, he’s stayed with this team through thick and thin.

DeAndre spoke about the accomplishment post game.

Prior to his 5 injured games this season, DeAndre Jordan has been the LA Clippers’ iron man. This team has had 6 seasons of either Blake Griffin or Chris Paul injured; the one constant was always DeAndre Jordan. One attribute that often gets overlooked is being a consistent presence. Availability isn’t an attribute you’ll see on a box score, but it’s one that fans should appreciate.

DeAndre mentioned in his interview that he was happy his son was there to witness this achievement. Luckily, we were able to capture that precious moment with his son right before the game started.

When Doc Rivers first arrived in LA, he claimed that he didn’t want to trade DAandre for KG, and that DJ was a part of his big 3. At first, NBA fans scoffed at the remark. However, DeAndre has shown to be one of the most valuable centers in the league. DJ has been an: All-Star, All-NBA First Team member, 2x NBA All-Defensive First Team member, and a 2x NBA rebounding leader. He has a specific job as a center, and is one of the very best at it.

Next: It's time to extend Lou Williams' contract

Regardless of whatever happens to DeAndre Jordan during the trade deadline, take the time to appreciate him this season. He’s been there to do the dirty work for years, and does all the little things that don’t show up on a stat-sheet.
