The LA Clippers suffered yet another injury on Thursday night when DeAndre Jordan left the game in the 2nd quarter from a left ankle sprain.

Another LA Clippers’ game, another injury. Blake Griffin and Milos Teodosic came back from their injuries, so it only makes sense someone else went down. This time, it was the only starter not yet injured this season. In the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Kings, DeAndre sprained his left ankle.

Fans’ hearts sank everywhere. Why are the Basketball Gods so angry at the Clippers? DJ going down is something that fans just aren’t used to seeing. Despite the injuries the team has had over the past years, he has been the lone rock on the team.

DJ did want to give it a go in the second half, but after testing the ankle at halftime with head athletic trainer Jason Powell, it was determined that risking it wasn’t the best move. You can see the injury below, which came on an AMAZING dunk.

Isn’t that the most DJ way to get injured?

DJ’s Update

There is good news. Not only did the Clippers end up winning the game without DeAndre Jordan in the second half, but the center tweeted out a gif after the game, which you can see below.

Phew. Although the team has not yet released any information on his injury, we don’t expect DeAndre to miss more than maybe a game at most. The Clips play the Kings on Saturday during NBA Jam Night and with DJ featured on the promotional shirt, we hope he can get out onto the court. We will update you as we get more information.
