The LA Clippers helped 30 families by distributing gifts and food at the 12th annual “Adopt-a-Family” event.

It’s a season of giving. On Friday, December 8th, the LA Clippers helped to distribute both gifts and food for 30 families at the 12th annual “Adopt-a-Family” event.

This event was huge and included the aforementioned 30 families as well as 140 individuals. After everyone was treated to dinner, the Clippers players showed up to read books to children. They also helped to distribute the gifts and were available for photo opportunities.

Players that attended included Wesley Johnson, Montrezl Harrell, Jawun Evans, Sindarius Thornwell and Willie Reed.

The event was part of the LA Clippers foundation, who intend to make a positive difference in a Los Angeles child every day. For more information about the L.A. Clippers Foundation, you can visit www.clippers.com/Foundation.

This event was hosted by The Salvation Army Siemon Family Youth and Community Center. This center, located in South Los Angeles, serves one of the most troubled urban regions in the area. If you would like to donate or volunteer, check out their website.

This isn’t the first time the Clippers’ players will be out and about this holiday season. Recently, Lou Williams went out to help purchase presents for children in need.
