Danilo Gallinari has been ruled out again for the LA Clippers’ game on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

LA Clippers’ small forward, Danilo Gallinari, has been ruled out of Friday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. This comes as no surprise after Gallo missed Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, due to a left glute strain.

After the team’s loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday, Gallinari told reporters that he had picked up the injury about a week ago, but continued to play, despite feeling like he could barely walk after games. Thankfully, the team has decided to rest him instead of letting him continue playing and possibly making it worse.

This announcement about Gallinari was expected, but is not good as the team has also ruled out Patrick Beverley for at least the next two games. With three of their opening night starters out (Milos Teodosic still has no timetable for his plantar fascia injury recovery), the LA Clippers will be hard pressed. The team needs to bounce back after going 1-5 in their last six, including three straight disappointing losses.

Wesley Johnson, Sam Dekker and Sindarius Thornwell will have to step up, with the latter most likely filling in for both Gallinari and Beverley while they are out. Hopefully they are up to the task on Friday as they will be matched up against two elite scorers in Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. The team also called up C.J. Williams from the G-League in order to help with depth.

We’ll keep you posted on the status of Gallinari as the young season keeps rolling along.
