LA Clippers new Nike “City” jersey has possibly leaked

Despite all the new Nike jerseys this season, teams aren’t done revealing them yet. The LA Clippers were part of a supposed leak over the weekend.

Conrad Burry of SportsLogo.net posted leaked concepts of unreleased Nike NBA “City” jerseys over the weekend. Several teams had their concepts leaked. Lucky for us, the LA Clippers were one of the concepts included.

Important to note: Conrad is only 100% sure of the legitimacy of some of the jerseys, so a good few are just mock-ups based on what he does know and they could change slightly.

First impression? I’m underwhelmed. Yes, the team’s new jerseys are a hit, especially when compared to last year’s uniforms. That being said, it’s pretty lame that we only get a re-colored version of the jersey the team is already wearing. This holds especially true when you look at the City jerseys for teams such as Miami, Oklahoma City and Utah. (Side note: I’m considering picking the Heat as my Eastern Conference team specifically so that I can buy that jersey).

This leak comes after the team’s “Statement” jersey leaked via NBA 2k18. Needless to say, fans were also pretty underwhelmed with that as well. A lot of fans were hoping for a return of the light blue coloring that the team wore a few years ago. However, it doesn’t seem like the design team is ready to embrace that.
