Leak: LA Clippers’ “Statement” Jersey Leaked in NBA 2k18

The LA Clippers’ new “Statement” Nike uniform was leaked in a screenshot from an early-release version of 2k18 bought by a Twitter user in Australia.

Along with the Clippers’ jersey being leaked, the Twitter user who purchased the game (@JMoneyMikita) released the “Statement” jerseys for every other NBA team as well. 

Prior to the leak, many Clippers fans had hoped and predicted that the team would be releasing some sort of alternate jersey with the black color scheme the team had previously used with their alternates.

While the team did decide to stick with the black color scheme, Clippers fans may be disappointed to find out that the template for the jersey has been changed. Instead of keeping the LAC logo surrounded by the white basketball outline, the team decided to replace it with the logo design of the red away jersey (which most fans did not like).

In the video below, you can see all the jerseys that will be available for the Clippers in 2k18 which appear to be: the classic Clippers Adidas-style swingman jerseys (both red and blue), all three of the LAC jerseys from last year (the red, blue, and alternate black), the Clippers’ Christmas Jersey from last year, the Nike Association, Icon, and Statement jerseys, a throwback Los Angeles Stars-style jersey, a throwback LA Braves-style jersey, and the red and white jerseys that the team wore in the 2000s.

With the leaks of the Clippers’ Nike “Statement” jersey, this leaves the team with one remaining Nike jersey yet to be released. Assuming that the “Statement” jersey is the jersey Nike based off of “The Athletes Mindset,” this means that the remaining jersey would be the one based off of “The Community.”
