The LA Clippers run into the Los Angeles Lakers in their final preseason game (nice) tonight at 10.30 Eastern/7.30 Pacific. This game serves as a curtain-raiser for the Clippers’ season opener against the Lakers.

I, along with much of basketball Twitter/media/fandom, am tired of preseason basketball. I am ready for games that count. With that in mind, let’s get as excited as we can be one last time.

I do not anticipate much Milos madness, unfortunately. While it may be a good opportunity for him to test his body on a back to back, perhaps that test would be better served taking place when the games count.

Look to see Wesley Johnson continue to try and solidify his place in the rotation with heavier minutes tonight. He’s looked, if nothing else, much better than he has in recent years in this preseason. Also look to see Jawun Evans get some NBA run before he spends, likely, the majority of the season sitting. Miles Plumlee will likely see the floor along with the remainder of the training camp group, as this is their last chance to show why they should make the Clippers’ 15-man roster for the regular season.

All in all, don’t expect a pretty game, nor a lot of minutes for any key players.

Enjoy your final taste of preseason basketball as we look forward to next week’s season opener vs the Lakers on Thursday the 19th.
