Everyone was watching as the Panthers, Packers, and Cowboys won their NFL season-opening games, including your LA Clippers.
Backup forward Sam Dekker was present at the Packers/Seahawks game. He was born in Wisconsin where he attended high school. Dekker then of course played for the Badgers at the University of Wisconsin.
Dekker was present at the game for the Packers 17-9 victory. His plumber buddy Aaron Rodgers passed for 311 yards and one touchdown. His fiance Olivia Harlan and other members of the Dekker family joined him at Lambeau Field. Steve Ballmer, the Clippers’ owner, is a fan of the opposing Seahawks. Sorry about the loss Steve, but Rodgers is just too good.
DeAndre Jordan watched the Dallas Cowboys smack the New York Giants 19-3. The Dallas native tweeted at Cole Beasley, congratulating him on his highlight-worthy first down catch. Some Cowboys fans who are still angry with Jordan for his stunt with the Dallas Mavericks a couple of seasons back didn’t appreciate him cheering on the team. Other natives were confused, not knowing that he was from Dallas. Beasley appreciated the compliment however, retweeting it after the game.
Lou Williams was in Dallas to attend the game, although he is from Tennessee, it appears he is a fan of the “boys.” I wonder if Lou Will and Jordan will bond over their common favorite NFL team…
Doc Rivers’ Chicago Bears played on Sunday, and lost 23-17 to the Atlanta Falcons. He didn’t have any reactions on social media, as he rarely posts or tweets. Blake Griffin apparently has no favorite NFL team, but does enjoy college football. Don’t we all?
NBA tip-off is October 17th, and preseason games start at the end of the month (September 30th). Until then, NBA fans and players alike will have to watch their favorite NFL teams play.
