Blake Griffin reminisces in new Jordan ad
The LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin has a new ad with Jordan promoting the new shoe, the Super.Fly 2017.
Each summer, Jordan Brand comes out with a new commercial for their Super.Fly shoe featuring the LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin. You may remember the “Dr. Drain” ad or the Space Jam themed one. This year, for the Super.Fly 2017, basketball culture is celebrated as Blake narrates what goes down at ‘the playground’.
The ad documents what it’s like growing up playing on the blacktop. It accurately captures the fun times and life lessons that you’ll receive at the playground, something that undoubtedly had an affect on Blake. With little flashes of the Super.Fly shoe, one can put together what the shoe is all about.
In this clip, Blake reminisces on his own experiences playing basketball as a kid.
As a kid, Blake spent lots of time playing sports with his older brother, Taylor. You can tell that this had a tremendous impact on who he is as a player and person. Blake also mentions how he had his first successful dunk as a 13 year old kid, which is crazy considering how dunking is something most people don’t even come close to doing. Learning to dunk so early on is just one example of how the way he played as a kid truly influenced how he plays today.
As Jordan Brand says, the playground is “where your game became yours”.
