Former LA Clippers’ small forward Luc Mbah a Moute has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Houston Rockets.
Luc Mbah a Moute will now join Chris Paul in Houston according to reports from ESPN. Luc will give Houston some defense and a veteran presence all for just the cost of a minimum contract. Reports had come out that the LA Clippers still had interest in Mbah a Moute, but nothing ever came to fruition.

Luc provided the Clippers with amazing defense on the wing and was a solid stop gap at the power forward when Blake Griffin went down with injury. Although he only averaged 4.6 points per game with the Clippers, it was his defense that made him fit in so well with the starting unit.
Mbah a Moute’s departure makes him the third of the LA Clippers’ starting five last season to head for greener pastures. Luc will join Chris Paul in Houston where they hope challenge Golden State, while J.J. Redick left for Philadelphia and a big pay day.
The Clippers’, for once, didn’t need another small forward on the roster after adding both Danilo Gallinari and Sam Dekker following CP3’s departure. With Wes Johnson on the team still, small forward has become one of the team’s deeper positions. Although Luc still could have been signed over the cap, apparently the team thinks there are better things to focus on. The team is still in need of back-up big men to play behind both Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
