The LA Clippers have released a beautiful tribute video for the recently retired Paul Pierce, narrated by fan Kendrick Lamar.
Paul Pierce enjoyed a 19-year NBA career, scoring over 26,000 points, winning an NBA Championship, as well as being a Finals MVP. He retired two weeks ago after the LA Clippers lost to the Utah Jazz in Game 7 of the first round in the Western Conference.
Now, the Clippers have released an emotional video to pay homage to Pierce with the help of Compton’s very own Kendrick Lamar. Pierce was born and raised in Oakland and played basketball at Inglewood High School in California before he became a Round 1 pick for the Boston Celtics in the 1998 draft. The 10-time All-Star enjoyed a Hall of Fame career and he will always be remembered as one of the greatest players to play in the NBA.
In the heartfelt video, Kendrick Lamar thanks the forward on behalf of the whole of the whole city and talks about how he not only represented Inglewood, but all of LA.
