Russell Westbrook breaks the triple-double record, and hits a game winner all in one night. Here are some of what our favorite LA Clippers had to say that night.

This past weekend, Russell Westbrook made NBA history, if you don’t already somehow know. Not only did he secure his 42nd triple-double, but he ended the game with a long buzzer-beating three to give the Thunder the win and secure a 6th seed in the playoffs. He now has the most triple-doubles in a season and is only the second player to average a triple-double. Both records were owned by Oscar Robertson. It impressed many stars throughout the league, including some of our very own Los Angeles Clippers.

Jamal Crawford, who is very active on social media, had himself a night live-tweeting as the game went on.

Mo Speights even got in on some of the action. He made sure we knew who his MVP vote would go to.

It is truly amazing what Russell Westbrook has accomplished this season, and with out a doubt it’s nice to see some of our own favorite players sharing the love with Russell. It seems like a good amount of the team really believes that Russell Westbrook should be the league’s most valuable player.

The debate between James Harden and Russell Westbrook for MVP has been a contentious one all season. There are very, very strong cases to be made for both players, but most likely, only one will bring home the MVP trophy. If recency bias is true though, this game will do wonders for voters who are undecided.
