LA Clippers’ fan Tony Tonchev took the time to talk to us and gave some info on his #BenchOnAQuest art.
Tony Tonchev looked at the Clippers and noticed something. Yes, they have two of the biggest names in the league, but the bench wasn’t getting the love it deserved. He decided to devote his art to those players who may not get the same amount of love as Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.
"“Bench On a Quest” was created to provide the LA Clippers’ bench of reserves with a unique nickname and also to unite all Clippers’ fans! It was born out of a passion, respect, love and admiration for the game, and for the athletes who make a difference – to the sport and the community."
Here’s one of Tony’s pieces from last season:

Tony gives each player a unique flair, but they are all very easily recognizable. The players, featured on a Clipper ship, are united and trying to reach that elusive Larry O’Brien trophy.
Tony has been a fan of the Clippers since he was 12 and although not an LA native, he managed to get his art to a game this last season and it was featured on the jumbotron, signed by Austin Rivers and admired by Coach Dave Severns.

Currently, Tony is gearing up for the playoffs.
"Honestly, it’d be huge for #BenchOnAQuest to get some recognition and support. Let’s all use this opportunity to unite as Clippers fans and form an even larger community to rally behind the most entertaining team in the world!"
Tony forwarded these pieces to us that he has been working on for the playoffs:
