It’s everyone’s favorite time of the week: The nations’ Power Rankings finally came out. Luckily for y’all, we have the LA Clippers’ positioning here in one place. Enjoy!

USA TODAY #8

"The Clippers have had an up-and-down season and are still searching for consistency, but they’re playing some of their best basketball of the year heading into the playoffs. They’ve won seven of their last nine games, including games against Cleveland, Utah and Washington. Austin Rivers (hamstring) is likely to miss some, if not all, of the first round. But once he’s healthy, do the Clippers have what it takes to compete with the likes of Golden State, San Antonio and Houston come playoff time?"

To answer your question, yes they can compete with the NBA powerhouses.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED #11

"L.A. still seems bound for a tough off-season, but its won three straight (thanks, Suns and Lakers) and play its last four games over a merciful 10-day period. The R&R should help a little, but conference finals or bust ought to be the attitude."

Wait, the Clippers finally have a decent break in the schedule? Seems like that’s the first time all year LA has had a break.

CBS SPORTS #6

"The Clips have won seven of nine. So they’re not playing their worst ball at the worst time. They’ve beaten some good teams (Utah, Washington) and will probably get a favorable first-round matchup. Now, raise your hand if you think they can beat the Warriors in the second round. Anybody. Any… body…? No? OK, then."

*raises hand*

I’m guessing you didn’t watch the first quarter of the season. Once the Clippers find the consistency they had at the beginning of the year, the rest of the league should watch out

ESPN #12

"We could talk about how L.A. became the fastest team to score 100 points in a game this season in last week’s home win over Washington — reaching triple digits with 5:43 to go in the third quarter — but we prefer to go big picture here. The Clippers, according to ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, have only a 25 percent chance to wrest the West’s No. 4 seed away from Utah as the regular season winds down. The ever-trusty BPI says that the Clips, as of Monday morning, were 69 percent likely to wind up seeded fifth, with just a 6 percent chance of slipping down to No. 6.Don’t you wonder, though, whether they’d be better off in the No. 6 slot, thereby ensuring they avoid Golden State until the conference finals at the earliest? Upsetting Houston and San Antonio to get there certainly wouldn’t be easy, but don’t the Clips want to steer clear of Golden State for as long as they can given how the teams’ past 10 regular-season meetings have turned out? (L.A. has indeed lost all 10.)"
