The LA Clippers will look to get back in the win column while the Washington Wizards look for their 5th win in a row Wednesday night in LA.

The Clippers and Washington couldn’t be on more different paths. Washington has been playing some great basketball, winning four in a row, while fighting for the better playoff seeding in the East.

Meanwhile, the Clippers have struggled to find any sort of rhythm since getting the majority of their “Big-Three” healthy. They are trying not to lose ground in the playoff hunt. Though LA gets themselves in trouble by playing down to their opponent, that shouldn’t be the case Wednesday, look for them to challenge the Wizards.

Keys to the Game

More from Clipperholics

  • The Guards. Both the Wizards and the Clippers have a set of exceptional guards. John Wall and Bradley Beal are hard to contain, LA will attack them early hopefully getting one or both into foul trouble. Washington should look to deny JJ the ball, because if JJ gets going, it will open up the entire floor for LA. Whoever can win the battle of the back court should be able to come out on top.
  • Effort. This game can go one of two ways for the Clippers and it all depends on their effort level. If LA comes out and plays with the effort they had at the beginning of the season, they will roll right over the Wizards. If they play like they have been lately, the Wizards will make any chance of this being a competitive game vanish–Yes, I know that was cheesy.
  • DeAndre Jordan. DJ has to come out here and be a nuisance on the boards, because if we are being honest, nobody on the Wizards should be able to out-rebound DJ. If Jordan can assert himself early, LA stands a good chance of winning the game.
