Age.

More from Clipperholics

Chris Paul will be 32 at the beginning of next season, not an ideal age or your starting point guard. Since Chris’ game isn’t built around athleticism, he should age gracefully. He has worked to improve his three-point shot, shooting 41.4 percent from deep this year. Production shouldn’t be an issue for Paul as he ages.

The problem is in his injury history. Chris always seems to be a victim of nagging injuries. Two years ago he had quad issues. This past season and this one, he has had issues with his hands. It seems to always be something, but Chris has always pushed through it, coming back just as strong every time. Can he do that when he gets older, though?

Chris Paul still has the ability to be productive late into his thirties, but will his body let him due to his age? It’s at least something the LA Clippers front office should keep in mind.
