Chris Paul: Point God

The NBA put out a couple of pretty swell video this weekend before the Clippers vs Bulls game. The first is a nice little montage of every alley-oop that Chris Paul has thrown this season. Let’s take a gander:

Boy, just look at those lobs. They would make even Jackie Moon, the inventor of the alley-oop, happy.

The Point God is doing his best to make sure that Lob City isn’t fully dead. Chris Paul may have missed a while with his injured thumb, but he still has been around enough to compile this nice highlight reel.

Blake Griffin: Also Point God

Yes, I said it. The guy who was labeled as “all he can do is dunk” just had the NBA put out his top 14 assists of the year. Currently, Blake Griffin is averaging 5.2 assists and is doing it in fashion. Check out this highlight tape:

He can pass with the best of them. You know that after a few of these dishes, he has to have hit the opponent with a little head nod.

The forward is having one of his best years despite having knee surgery. Blake has been phenomenal and if he weren’t out for as long as he was, he might have been a dark horse MVP candidate. Oh well. A good deep playoff run will have to do.
