Terrance Jones
Yet another player who’s status in the league has been influenced by Dell Demps robbing a poor, helpless Vlade Divac.
The Pelicans announced on Thursday that they had waived the former Kentucky Wildcat after agreeing to a 1-year minimum contract back in July.
The 6’9″ forward averaged 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds, right around his career numbers.
Jones is a different player to what the Clippers seemingly need to get them over the Mt. Everest sized hump that is the Golden State Warriors. If signed, he would likely take the place of Brandon Bass, who has had some strong performances in a limited role off the bench.
Jones is a relatively solid defender. He struggles with consistency but his rebounding and scoring ability are unquestionable.
The one big question with Jones, especially in the last 2 years has been his health. He has missed a total of 81 games.
Having only just turned 25 years old, Jones should be a coveted asset for a few NBA teams going into the post-season. The Clippers should definitely take a look.
