The Clippers’ Luc Mbah a Moute is an amazing whistler and he showed it off on TNT as part of All-Star Saturday.
Luc Mbah a Moute is the best whistler the world has ever seen. Such raw talent has never graced the Earth as it did Saturday evening for the NBA’s Talent Challenge.
The Clippers forward mentioned that he is capable of whistling to a variety of different music from different genres. But for the Talent Challenge, Luc showcased his elite whistling abilities to the tune of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”.
You might be thinking, “Anyone can whistle. How does that make Luc talented?” Well, think again.
Luc whistled for a full 49 seconds without stopping. Whistling for that amount of time takes tons of lip strength that only few can muster. We all know that feeling when you’ve been whistling for too long and your lips start to get tired. Also, whistling requires extreme concentration because once you start laughing or smiling, its over. Luc kept his focus while simultaneously timing his breathing with the beats. And breathing is very essential.
Lastly, Luc stayed with the beat and the tune of the song; something people have trouble doing in the first place. He even added some dance moves, but that’s clearly not his area of expertise like whistling is.
If this isn’t the most talented man in the NBA (basketball skills aside), then I don’t know who is.
This season, Luc Mbah a Moute is averaging 6.1 points on 48.8% shooting, including a career best 38.8% from three. His defense has also been impeccable. The small forward has been better than the stop-gap that the Clippers hoped he would be coming into the season and has settled well into his role with the starting unit.
The Clippers return Thursday night from All-Star break for the firs night of a back to back against the Golden State Warriors.
