Sunday, the LA Clippers travel to Boston, looking to bounce back after the loss they suffered at the hand of the Warriors on Thursday. Paul Pierce will appear in Boston for his last game. The Celtics will look to continue their hot streak, winning their last five.
If the past two games have meant anything for the Clippers, it’s that Blake Griffin is officially back. With Chris Paul still out for an extended period, and the team struggling recently, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Griffin will have to continue his stretch of stellar play for the Clippers to have any success against the Boston Celtics.

Boston on the other hand, has been HOT. They have won their last five games, and 15 of their last 19. The catalyst for their recent surge has been Isaiah Thomas. After scoring 38 to beat the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night, the Clippers look to have a hard time keeping IT contained.
Players To Watch
Blake Griffin
Since his return from orthoscopic knee surgery, Griffin has been amazing. He has the hop in his step that we have all come to love. Blake is able to attack the rim with ease and his jumper is falling. Teams are quickly remembering how hard he is to cover when healthy. Averaging 26 points per game in his last three, he should have no problem successfully scoring against Boston.
Isaiah Thomas
As hot as Blake has been recently, IT has been even hotter. Averaging almost 30 points per game on the year, its safe to say, dude can score. IT has been the reason Boston has done so well lately; He has scored 40 or more points in three out their last 10 games. As I’m sure you’ve heard, he also leads the lead in fourth quarter scoring. So, if the game is close in the fourth, you better watch out for IT.
Sunday’s Significance
Unless Doc does the unthinkable, Paul Pierce most likely won’t see the court Sunday. The game itself will hold special meaning for Pierce though, as it’s his last game in Boston before he retires at the end of the season.
Pierce spent the best years of his career in Boston, even winning a Championship. Though he probably wont have any effect on the outcome, Paul Pierce will surely remember Sundays game for a long time. Expect a large ovation and tributes throughout the game.
