5) The team shut down the Suns’ comeback attempt.
In this game, the Suns back court of Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker fought bravely putting up a combined total of 61 points, 14 assists, and 8 rebounds. The Clippers never had a definitive lead during the battle as the home team continued to hit shots and bring the score back to a close margin. The bottom half of the fourth quarter was a different story though, as the Clippers made smart decisions to close out the game.
Brandon Bass played all of his five minutes and 40 seconds in the fourth, hitting 3 of 3 mid-range shots and some free throws for a quick 8 points. Redick also banked in a gorgeous three pointer from the top of the key in the last half of the fourth. The final plays drawn up by the Clippers, as well as the tempo they played at helped them casually close out the game with a 124-114 victory. Ultimately, Blake Griffin’s stamp on the game was too much to overcome. The Suns never led.
