Five takeaways from the week of games for the Los Angeles Clippers’ Orlando Summer League roster.

The Los Angeles Clippers wrapped up the Orlando Summer League by not winning a single game.

On Friday, they lost 77-106 to the New York Knicks in a game for last place. The Clippers lost to the same Knicks team 84-92, a few days earlier.

Many thought the Clippers could have a dominate team with three 2016 drafted players and a couple of players of with NBA experience. This includes Clippers Summer League veterans C.J. Wilcox, and Branden Dawson. Athletic Rookies Diamond Stone and Brice Johnson also made their debuts.

Nonetheless, Summer League head coach Brenden O’Connor took his lumps coaching the team. Teams earn tournament points in the Orlando Summer League by winning quarters and ultimately winning the game. However, this team did not do much of outscoring opponents.

The Clippers’ other losses came to the hands of Summer League teams for the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic and Oklahoma City Thunder.

As a team, the Clippers averaged about 75 points for game. Turnovers were the real killer, as the team almost averaged 21 turnovers per game.

Of course, there is no reason to panic. These are only exhibition games ment to develop and find talent. Here are some lessons learned from the Orlando Summer League.
