The Los Angeles Clippers are working out a host of new prospects on Wednesday, May 18th, including point guard Yogi Ferrell and forward Jaron Blossomgam.
The Los Angeles Clippers have already started workouts in preparation for the 2016 NBA Draft and have checked out a few players, primarily consisting of guards so far. However, during their group of workouts that are taking place on Wednesday, May 18th, they are expanding beyond guards and looking at a few forwards as well.
Dan Woike of the Orange County Register has reported some of the young prospects who have come to L.A. to show the Clippers what they’re made of.
The Clippers’ small forward situation has been an issue for some time, ranging from the gritty Matt Barnes from 2012 to 2015 before moving onto a bunch of options this season, resulting in Luc Mbah a Moute becoming the starter. Beyond his great defensive impact and hustle, though, the limitations are obvious, seeing as his total of 13 threes all season displayed his complete inability to space the floor.
And with Paul Pierce being defeated by Father Time and streaky shooters like Wesley Johnson and Jeff Green on the bench, the Clippers could still use some help at the wing, especially with so many free agents.
So, here’s a quick look at the numbers these players put up in college if you’re unfamiliar with their work.
