Stephen Curry injury status and update ahead of Clippers vs Warriors
By Will Eudy
The LA Clippers will play their second game of a four-game homestand Monday night when the Golden State Warriors come to town. Last time out, the Clippers snapped their second three-game losing streak of the season when they took down the Utah Jazz at Intuit Dome on Sunday evening.
Gearing up for the Western Conference-leading Warriors just 24 hours later is no small task. Golden State has utterly dominated to begin this season, jumping out to a 10-2 record and making it look like Stephen Curry's days of winning championships may not be over just yet.
The first of the Warriors' two losses so far in the 2024-25 season? To the Clippers back on October 27, and still Golden State's only loss on their home court at Chase Center this year. While it is nice that the Clippers can have the confidence going in to this game of knowing they can beat this team for a fact, they should also know that doing it twice will be far from easy.
Is Stephen Curry playing tonight vs the Rockets?
Of course, one of the biggest determining factors in this one will be Stephen Curry's availability. The Warriors' point guard is currently listed as questionable for Monday night's action due to left knee bursitis. Curry was present at shootaround on Monday morning, putting up shots and walking up the steep steps of The Wall at Intuit Dome.
Having Steph in the starting lineup will no doubt be Golden State's best shot at picking up a win, but it is worth noting that the Warriors went 3-0 in the only three-game stretch that Curry has missed so far this season. This is a formidable squad with or without the greatest shooter ever on the floor.
Full Clippers injury report vs Warriors:
Once again, Kawhi Leonard (knee) will be out for the Clippers on Monday. He has reportedly still not practiced with the team this season, and there have been no further updates on when he may return to action.
P.J. Tucker (not with team) is also out against the Warriors. Tucker remains away indefinitely while he and the team have mutually agreed to find him a trade partner so that he may play elsewhere this season.
Mo Bamba (knee) is questionable for Monday after making his season debut against the Jazz on Sunday. Bamba logged nine points and eight rebounds in 15 minutes of action against Utah, and now may end up sitting out on the second night of a back-to-back.
