The LA Clippers, their fans, and everyone associated with the team are all thrilled that Intuit Dome is now officially open to the public. A highly ambitious project years in the making is now fully complete, and ready to welcome thousands of Clipper fans for its inagural NBA season in October.
With that said, not everyone is thrilled about the Clippers' new home. The city of Los Angeles is still occupied with many Lakers fans, and they likely feel a bit threatened by the Clippers' extremely impressive new arena. Just take a look at how Crypto.com Arena felt the need to try to one-up the Clippers with their latest addition.
One prominent Laker fan is certainly not a fan of Intuit Dome. I am speaking, of course, of Snoop Dogg. The world-famous rapper and producer is also widely known as a big Lakers fan. Recently, Snoop appeared on All The Smoke, a podcast hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, and he gave his honest thoughts on the arena.
Snoop Dogg roasted the Clippers' fanbase on new podcast
The moment that included Snoop's roast was preceded by Matt Barnes explaining how "The Wall" at Intuit Dome works. Of course, this is the segment of the seating bowl in the new arena designed to seat only Clippers fans. Steve Ballmer was intentional in making this part of the stands exclusive to fans of the home team, with no away jerseys allowed and selling tickets to road fans strictly prohibited.
When Barnes was finished explaining that you have to be a Clippers fan to sit on "The Wall," Snoop responded in classic fashion. "Well, it's going to be kind of empty in that m-----f----- then," he said. This of course sent the recording studio into an uproar as Jackson and Barnes could not contain their laughter.
This is the expected response from a die-hard Laker fan like Snoop. Opposing fans can mock Intuit Dome all they would like, but it is still looking like the Clippers' new home court could end up being one of the best arenas in the NBA.
