The LA Clippers are getting back to their winning ways. After nearly defeating the Nuggets nine days ago, the Clippers have now won a season-high three games in a row after their back-to-back defeats of the Spurs on the road.

Taking care of inferior competition away from home is a good sign that this team is trending upward and starting to put things together. However, there was one less than encouraging development on Wednesday evening as well.

After playing in the first half, the Clippers announced that Norman Powell would not return to the court for the second half with groin soreness. This announcement put his status for LA's Friday night game with the New Orleans Pelicans in question.

Norman Powell joins Brandon Boston Jr. and Mason Plumlee on the Clippers' injury report for Friday. Boston and Plumlee are still listed as out, while Powell is questionable.

This is a troubling occurrence for the Clippers as they try to continue stringing wins together. So far this season, Powell has averaged the most minutes of any player to not start a game.

LA will need Powell on the floor going forward in order to continue building consistency. It is possible that the Clippers held him out of the second half on Wednesday for precautionary reasons.

But if this is an injury that continues lingering for Norman Powell, it could be devastating for the Clippers and their depth. Without Powell, LA would likely have to rely more on P.J. Tucker or dig deeper in their bench for answers.
