Former Clipper Montrezl Harrell's next team is announced

During the "213" era, the LA Clippers employed plenty of talented and impactful role players. Although the team never won a championship with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George as their two best players, there were still plenty of good memories that will last a long time.
The 2020-21 season featured the best postseason run in Clippers history, with the team reaching the Western Conference Finals for the only time in the history of the franchise. Of course, this was directly after two fantastic seasons in a row where LA earned top-four seeds in the playoffs.
One role player who helped define that early part of the "213" era for the Clippers was Montrezl Harrell. A big wing, Montrezl contributed with a physical style of play, out-muscling opponents and grabbing loads of rebounds, often before throwing down a two-handed slam over a defender.
Harrell moved on from the Clippers in the 2020 offseason, when he signed a two-year deal with the cross-town rival Lakers. After his stint with the Purple and Gold, Montrezl found himself playing with the Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets, and Philadelphia 76ers over the course of the next two seasons. Now, we know where Harrell will be playing next.
Montrezl Harrell will compete with the Adelaide 36ers
This past season, Montrezl was not rostered with any NBA team. On Tuesday, it was announced that he would be joining the Adelaide 36ers for the 2024-25 season. Harrell will be traveling to Australia to participate in the country's NBL, or National Basketball League.
According to Olgun Uluc who first reported the news, Montrezl will be serving as an injury replacement player on Adelaide's roster, filling in for Jarell Martin. For Clippers fans who happened to be big supporters of Harrell when he was in Los Angeles, this will be an exciting opportunity to see him back on the hardwood once again.
Some may see this news and assume it means Montrezl is out of the NBA for good. Do not be so sure. Oftentimes, an overseas deal like this for a tenured NBA player could simply mean a tune-up in preparation for a return to the league.
