Bleacher Report clowns Harden, Clippers in latest article
By Will Eudy
These days, it seems everyone has an opinion of James Harden and the LA Clippers. We have seen opposing announcers go on spirited rants criticizing Harden and his past actions, as well as fans across social media panning the Clippers for making the trade for him.
Hating on the Clippers is trendy right now, and until the team figures things out and returns to its winning ways, people will continue piling on them. So it should come as no surprise that Bleacher Report became the latest notable outlet to take an opportunity to clown the Clippers and Harden.
Bleacher Report recently published an article related to the February NBA trade deadline. They gave their opinion of what each team would do if the trade deadline were today instead of three months away. For the Clippers, their suggestion was clearly a comical deviation from the other serious suggestions.
Bleacher Report gave an unserious suggestion for the Clippers
The suggested move for the Clippers was to "build a time machine and never make the James Harden trade." This is obviously a low-effort attempt at a comedic interpretation of the Clippers' situation.
Yes, LA's situation looks rough at the moment, and there is every reason for skepticism. There are multiple legitimate reasons why the Harden experiment may end up failing.
As Bleacher Report points out, the Clippers held a much better net rating before acquiring Harden. But completely writing this team off after only six games is just lazy.
Blanket statements like BR's fail to acknowledge any nuance in the Clippers' situation. LA will turn statements like this into freezing cold takes if they can get the best out of their new group.
