4. Miami Heat

It seems like the Miami Heat are rumored to be in the running for every big name star in the NBA, but they should certainly be viewed as a real threat to trade for Paul George. The franchise has a reputation of doing things the right way and is known for having an excellent team culture. Combine that with the favorable location, and it is not hard to think PG might be interested in playing for the Heat.

The last several years, Miami has been a perpetual overachiever. They have actually won less games in the regular season than expected year in and year out (minus 2021-22 when they finished with the number one seed), but the Heat have continually shown they have an extra gear in the playoffs that few other teams have.

Much of their success can be attributed to Head Coach Erik Spoelstra, who is known for maximizing his teams' outputs. Combine Spo's coaching knowledge with Jimmy Butler's tenacity in the playoffs, and it is no surprise the Heat are always difficult to beat in the postseason.

But regardless of how often they outdo expectations, patience is supposedly running thin in Miami. The time to make an upgrade and keep this core group together is now for them, and one would have to think they will go hard after Paul George this summer.
