3 teams that could sign James Harden away from the Clippers

3. Utah Jazz
When it comes to the Utah Jazz, there are few bigger wild cards across the entire NBA. For the latter half of last decade, the Jazz became a playoff mainstay and were in the postseason every season from 2016-17 until 2021-22. Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell created a dynamic duo that led them to the top seed in the West in 2021, and instilled a real winning culture in the modern era of the organization.
It is no secret that former NBA player and top Jazz executive Danny Ainge plays a big part in Utah's decision-making, and he has helped shape them into one of the most ambitious in the league when it comes to seeking out and executing bold trades and other moves. He was a big player in the Jazz trading both Mitchell and Gobert in blockbuster deals that ultimately set the team up for long-term success by providing a path to rebuild.
This summer, Utah will likely have more cap space than almost any other team in the league. If they believe they could sign Harden and use him in a way to increase his trade value for a future deal, it sounds just like the kind of move Ainge would be in favor of.
