The middle of the 2023-24 NBA season is approaching, and the LA Clippers are still rolling. Their loss to the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday was just their fourth in their last 21 games, and they remain in the top four of the West standings.

As the February 8 trade deadline approaches and rumors intensify, the Clippers will still have their sights set on making whatever improvements they can. They may have one of the most talented rosters in the league, but that does not mean they are comfortable letting their competitors make moves while they sit idle.

Recently, several potential trade targets for the Clippers became available. January 15 marked the first date that 17 specific NBA players became trade eligible, many of which are notable. These players all fell into this category because of particular stipulations in their deals relating to their team.

The following players can now be traded:

  • Cameron Johnson
  • Miles Bridges
  • P.J. Washington
  • Ayo Dosunmu
  • Coby White
  • Rui Hachimura
  • Austin Reaves
  • Brook Lopez
  • Herbert Jones
  • Moritz Wagner
  • Paul Reed
  • Jerami Grant
  • Matisse Thybulle
  • Trey Lyles
  • Tre Jones
  • Jakob Poeltl
  • Kyle Kuzma

Many of these players have been in trade rumors for weeks, and they are all now officially on the trade market. There have not been many details leaked about specific players the Clippers might be targeting at the deadline, but several potentially worthwhile options just became available.

Just 23 days remain until the trade deadline officially passes, and fans should not be surprised to see the Clippers' front office take a swing to try to turn their good situation into an even better one.
